Dunan, New South Wales, Australia – A group of wealthy Australian property developers and industrialists have formed a charitable trust for the benefit of the needy in New South and Northern NSW.
The Dunan Trust aims to make charitable contributions available to low-income families and businesses in the Dunans community, as well as other communities, for charitable purposes, including education and health care.
The trust will also provide financial support for other community projects.
The fund is named after the Dunamans first family, and its board includes Australian entrepreneur Michael Dunan and New South Wollongong resident Robert Dunan.
Michael Dunan has been active in community development and philanthropy for many years.
He started his philanthropy career in New York City with the foundation and then relocated to Dunamann in New Zealand in 1999.
The trust aims to build on his work by supporting and developing the communities of New South NSW.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the community, and to be part of a community development initiative that is a positive thing for the community,” Dunan told Al Jazeera.
“I think it’s a really powerful way to get involved in a project, and a great opportunity for me to be a part of something that has a positive impact on the community.”
The Dunans trust has been established by the Dunann family and its business partners, the Dunanes, with the intention of building on the legacy of the family’s philanthropic foundation.
The foundation has been a cornerstone of the Dunanas philanthropic legacy, with Michael Dunam currently one of the richest men in the world.
Michael and Robert Dunans have also given millions of dollars to other foundations and charitable organisations.
“The Dunanes philanthropic heritage and charitable work goes back generations,” Michael Dunasaid.
“We are incredibly proud to be the beneficiaries of their philanthropic work and to have contributed to the work of many organisations, and they are now one of our most important donors.”‘
They are really good people’The Dunants are among a growing number of wealthy people in Australia who are turning their philanthropy into a way to give back to the community.
The philanthropic movement has seen many celebrities and famous people make their charitable donations.
The Dunans’ donations include $1.5 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund, $1 million to Oxfam Australia and $500,000 to the Australian Cancer Society.
Robert Dunan is also a prominent member of the US philanthropic community.
In 2016, he gave $1 billion to the US National Institutes of Health.
Robert and Michael Dunans are also one of Australia’s wealthiest individuals, with their wealth growing by $7.8 billion over the last three years, according to Forbes magazine.
